The Warriors bounce back against a tough fisty Longhorn team winning 22-13

In his first start at QB Jay Tay did a great job directing the offense and running for 78 yards, 1 for 1 on passing, Tony Rios starting at FB had over 75 yards total, one run was a 52 yard TD, John Carrasco had 44 yards on the ground, but John made his presence known by lead blocking for Adrian Jimenez, who ran for 83 yards and 2 TD's. The Garcia brothers opened up holes on the right side large enough for a truck to drive through. Aj Cerna the anchor of the offense, was just terrific.

Coach T, gave the starters much needed rest by benching them all, to prepare for the championship. The team came together for this win.

The Warriors owned the first half of the football game, but a game has 4 qtrs, and the Chargers regrouped after the half, and came back to hand the Warriors a tough loss.  These 2 titans have given the fans 2 great football games.   Back to the drawing board?  Nope "we just have to get over the hump and play 4 qtrs" said Coach T.  Will go back and prepare for our bowl game against a tough opponent.  We are not out of winning a championship bowl game. This team is learning with every game under its belt.  We look foward to our bowl game matchup, and competing for

San Antonio's championship.

The Warriors travel to Raider nation and put another win on the board.

The Warriors first drive of the game ends with a fumble by Seth, and the Raiders quickly put 6 points on the board. The Warriors "D" denies the Raiders attempt on the extra point conversion. No reason to panic, the next drive is a march down the field with tough running by Isiah and Seth and a keeper by Gabriel for 6 points.  Isiah runs in the conversion and with that the Warriors take the lead.  From then on the Warriors never look back. Isiah runs for 120 yards and a TD, Gabriel runs for 65 yards and a TD, Seth puts 47 hard earned yards on the offensive side and a run off a turnover while on defense and runs it in for a 48 yard TD. Isiah Garcia, Kaden and Joaquin do a great job blocking the Raider defensive backs through out the entire game. The addition of the Garcia brothers, Robert and Devon on the offensive line paid off, the "O" line is responsible for a total of 227 yards.

Home Coming Game! Posters! Music!

None of it was a distraction as the Warriors beat the tough Eagles 25-14
With John Carrasco running for 43 yards to help set up a QB keeper for Gabriel that put the first points on the board. And the defense anchored by Seth, holding the Eagles scoreless until the 4th QTR.  Well it was a good game and a chance to build on the things that went right.  Jay Tay came in and lead the offense as well as scoring on a keeper, Isiah had a 60 yard TD run and 4th string RB Adrian Jimenez scores on a great run from 25 yards out for his first TD of his youth football career. Cerna also made his first career start at FB, and gained over 8 yards on 2 caries. Austin Reed had a clear path to the end zone but chose to cut in to the middle and gained 21 yards on the carry.  Raiders here we come!

Oct 1 2011

Once again the Junior Warriors come up short! 4 times in the red zone and come away scoreless. Once again QB Gabriel Marin runs for over 120 yards. Isiah McGarity ran for over 50, but the problem it seems is that the Warriors desperately need that 3rd offensive threat and a backup QB.

The defense was outstanding! Seth Bollard and Isiah McGarity left it all on the field, Justin the "Hut" once again was a factor, Benavidez also made his presence felt. So this i-reporter has a few words for Coach T. Get the offense in gear!!

2-2 is not where this team should be, every game has been a close one, down to the wire. But it seems that all the breaks are not going the Warriors way. Once again the Warriors were penalized for over 75 yards and the opposing team 5. This team better come together quick, Coach T better put a string of wins together, " This team will be ready come playoff time" Coach T tells his coaches. Yep the score 7-0 and the second half of the season is upon this team. WIth a bye next week, Coach T decides to give the team a much needed break from practice.

Sept 24 2011

The only sure thing with less than 2 minutes left in the 4th was that the game was still in question.  WIth both teams keeping each others backs in check, Coach T put his game into Gabriel's hands. With great blocking Gabriel ran for over 140 yards and all 3 TD's

One TD was a kick return for 70 yards. Seth Bollard ran for 27 yards, Isiah Mccarthy ran for 65 yards, and also stripped the ball right out of the Bears QB hands.

WIth 1:52 left in regulation 3 downs and Gabe hurting and just plain worn out, Coach T decided to run the clock down, knowing the Bears would have 1 second left on the clock. The game was in the hands of the defense. And the D stepped up as the tackled the Bears RB for a loss and any hope of a miracle play.

Sept 17 2011

It was a long day for the Warriors, as the team came up short 7-6 against the Raiders.  The only score was from QB Gabriel Marin on a 60 yard run that began to the outside.  The Raiders only score was on a QB sneak that was questioned by Coach T, the Raiders had an illegal formation, but his protest fell on deaf years. It was a hard hitting game, both sides punished the ball carriers. On another run that Gabe was about to break for the winning TD, he was brought down by a vicious face mask that put him out of the game.  Coach T will prepare for the next time these 2 teams meet and will return the favor!

Sept 10 2011

The Junior Warrior Rookies traveled across town to the Eagle's Nest. The coaches were not going to take the pre season win for granted.
The game plan was to strike first and fast.  And to the Warrior fans, that is exactly what transpired, the first offensive play was a hand off from the QB Gabriel Marin to the RB John Carrasco which produced a TD! Then the "D" anchored by Isiah McGarity and Seth Bollard stopped  the Eagles offense in 4. Then Marin got right back to work, handing off to RB Carrasco, for 22 yards, then quickly directing the offensive the other direction handing off to RB Austin Reed, for the second TD of the day. On the 3rd offensive drive Marin attempted a hand off to Kaden, on a option, but kept it as Kaden was well covered, and ran it in for a 44 yard TD.  Coach T quickly pulled the starters giving the back ups valuable playing time. Coach T, will start preparing for a tough Raider team.

Pre-Season Game Warriors @ Eagles
With tempature above 106, the Warriors came out aggressive from the first play and never looked back.
Gabriel Marin led the offense while completing 1 of 2 passes for 17 yards and running for over 50 yards, John Carrasco ran the ball for 20+ and Austin Reed capped it of for 40+.  Seth was given the duties of hitting the middle, but on one carry he fumbled the ball, but the Warriors recovered.  Seth had 2 carries for 16 yards. WR Kaden completed a pass for 17 yards and a run on a motion for 3 yards. WR Joaquin was all alone on a 20 yard pass in the end zone but ran the wrong route. He did however run the ball on a WR motion for 6 yards. Then to cap the day off, Isiah "Big Daddy" McGarity ran the ball on a sweep for 40 yards untouched to the end zone. The Warriors put 192 yards of total offense on the very talented and tough Eagle squad. The Warrior defense kept the Eagle offense to negative yards. It was just one of those days when all goes right for one team and all seems to go wrong for the other. The Warriors will meet the Eagles twice in the regular season and  expect a much tougher game!

THE "WARREN JUNIOR WARRIORS" after a very successful and fun 2010 season look foward to bigger, better and fair competition. Thank You TYFA for the memories.
The Junior Warriors program was established in 2008 with the help of many in the WARREN High school community, one individual in particular, Warren High school Head Football Coach Bryan Dausin. The Junior Warriors will continue to serve the Warren community for many years. We are proud to boast that our "team" is the first and only team ever to compete at Warren High School.

More exiting changes,
The Trevino Family will get some much needed help, welcoming Mark and Belinda Aldana to run football operations, giving the Trevino's a chance to sit back and relax as they watch their grandson play football and their granddaughter cheer!
So to all the other teams in the area, I have a few words for you. "Our Community, our school, our Team"
We are the Warren Junior Warriors, we bleed purple!
